Diploma in Flute Performance and Pedagogy, Konzervator Evangelicke Akademie Olomouc

Alzbeta Novakova is a Czech-born flutist and passionate flute teacher based in North Vancouver. She has played the flute since early childhood, and what began as a simple passion gradually grew into her profession. She completed her studies in Flute Performance and Pedagogy at the Conservatory and Academy in Olomouc, Czech Republic, where she developed both her love for performing and teaching.

With over 8 years of teaching experience in Europe and Canada, Alzbeta works with students of all ages and levels — from young beginners holding the flute for the first time to advanced students preparing for exams and performances. While teaching in the Czech Republic, she actively prepared students for competitions and supported them in concerts and public performances. She now teaches private lessons on the North Shore.

In addition to teaching, she has experience performing in orchestras, chamber ensembles, and as a soloist in the Czech Republic. She currently performs in Vancouver as part of the flute–piano duo Lacribeth, presenting concerts and community performances.

Her lessons are supportive, structured, and thoughtfully tailored to each student’s personality and learning style. She focuses on building strong fundamentals while helping students feel confident, expressive, and motivated. Whether preparing for RCM exams, recitals, or learning simply for enjoyment, her goal is for every student to feel proud of their progress and enjoy the music they play.
